Commander Con | Cardboard Slingers

Commander Con is a one day event held at the Fredericton Inn. The main focus is Magic the Gathering, Commander Format, and new this year Warhammer 40k. There will be 3 game modes of play to participate in.

Magic Commander Main Event 11:00am Start Time.

The main event will split the entire player base into four teams. Red, Green, Blue, and Black. Each pod will have 4 players, and 1 representative of the respective color (no pod will have two of the same color). The goal of this event is a BINGO style scoring system.

When a player completes one of the Scorecard task, that player will then mark off on the card with the provided team color marker. Mark the square to show it has been completed, and for the duration of that game, that square is no longer available. At the end of each round, the score cards will be collected, tallied and loaded into a point tracker. The objective of the event is good old fun, and not who can win on turn 1/2. Decks are to be BRACKET 3 or lower. The team that collects as many points per round will be the grand winner.

Magic Main Event Schedule Saturday March 7th 2026

10:00am - Hall Opens to Magic Players Check in.

11:00am - Round #1 Starts (1hr 20min time limit)

12:30pm - Round #2 Starts (1hr 20min time limit)

2:00pm - LUNCH BREAK (food will be available on site for purchase)

3:00pm - Round #3 Starts (1hr 20min time limit)

4:30pm - Round #4 Starts (1hr 20min time limit)

6:00pm Prizing and Final Remarks

Prizing

Prizing will be based off of attendance. Every player will have two packs added to the prize pool that the winning team will split.

Example: 100 Players

Teams would be split into 25 players per team.

the pot would have 200 packs of Magic Boosters (Booster packs will be random sets, and could be draft, set, or play).

The winning team of 25 players would split 200 packs. Giving each player 8 packs.

We are excited to announce, that this year we will be add a 40 player Warhammer 40k event to Commander Con. For this event we will be offering 3 entry packages which can be found below. Once you have paid for your event entry your information will be uploaded onto BCP. You will then receive an email giving you access to upload your army.
